Hillsong Conference

Well...What can I say about the past week.

There is only one word that can truely some it up.

AWESOME

And I mean that in every way.

For those of you who haven't heard about the Hillsong Conference. It is a Church in Sydney, Australia. They run a Christian Conference each year that attracted speakers and participants from across the globe. This year almost 100,000 people attended the different sessions. Each of the night rallies had at least 40,000 people. It was crazy. And the best part about it was that God showed up in so many ways to so many people.

I have got so much out of this week. There was teaching from some of the most influential Christian men/women and electives for just about everything. Pastors, church leaders, key business, moving in the spirit and all the way down to Youth Ministry and many, many more.

I can't begin to put into words all that God has done in my life over the past week. So I thought I'd show you a clip of the conference. See if you can spot me.

They were singing Kumbaya because our first rally night delayed the start of a Rugby match by 10min because we had so many people there heading to own of our night rallies. The sports commentators said that the game was delayed because there were people signing Kumbaya in the arena beside the stadium. So the next night the Hillsong Pastor and his son sang Kumbaya. Funny stuff.
Oh...by the way. The event is held at the site of the 200 Olympic games and we us the entire facility except for the main arena which seats 100,000. But it won't be long before they have to use that.

If your ever planning to allow God to impact your life in ways you never thought possible get to this thing next year. He will show you dreams and visions that will blow your mind. It did for me.

Hillsong pour so much time and money into this to bless others. It is really great to see and experience.

I can't wait to see what God is going to do in my life through this experience.
Stay tuned.

New Principal

Well last night we had a DVD and Dinner night for our school staff. It was a really fun night and I thought I'd show yu a picture of our new principal hiding in a cupboard.
He was able to fit entirely inside it. No, he's not a midget, He is 6"1'. It's a huge cupboard. This house is massive. It has to be for a family of 7, each child with their own room. So yeah, big house, big cupboard = fun night.

If you have a weak stomach DO NOT read any further.

MR. O's Worst Sandwich

Well, here's an update that will get your stomach turning...
I just wish that you could smell this. It actually made me feel really ill and that is saying something.

Here is the perfect way to introduce students to the Writing Format of Procedures.

Create your worst possible sandwich right in front of the class. The trick is to go from start to finish without saying a word to the class. It adds to the MOMENT and really keeps them guessing what you are doing.

This is what went into the sandwich:
  1. 2 Slices of Bread (How gross is that!!!)
  2. Vegemite (Aussie spreadable, ask an Aussie if you are unfamiliar with it)
  3. Honey
  4. Oregano (about 2 tablespoons)
  5. Peppercorns ( same as above)
  6. 1/4 Cup of Cocktail Onions
  7. 125g of Tuna
  8. 125g Baked Beans
  9. Coat top with honey to add a little sweetness
And hear is the end product...It's still not as gross as in person but I think you get the point.

YUMMY!!!!!!!

The Students then write their own procedure for their own Worst Sandwich.

What would you put in your Worst Sandwich. If you can make it and Email it to me.
