It was awesome to see the way that God is working in our secondary schools. The program, Elevate requires a one day per week commitment from it's leaders to go into the schools to work with the kids.I felt challenged to cut back my teaching to 4 days a week so that I may go into the local secondary school to help with this program. They have really struggled to find Christian leaders and will have to use none Christians if none are found. It will also greatly benefit my work as the senior youth leader connecting with the kids outside of church.
So please pray for me that God will guide me to the path that he wants me to take. Also pray for the youth of Swan Hill, they now have nothing for them to do socially with the closure of our only cinema. They have a lot of problems and are really lost.

That program seems really cool, it's too bad about the cinema though.
Will that program benefit from the new chaplin funding the Govt is talking about giving now?
Don't think so....it's run by a different organisation to the Chaplin. Hayden will more than likely use some of the funding for it. It depends on what he gets. He'll need most of it for his salary. His income comes mostly through donations at the moment.
Isn't true of so many youth right now. I would love for someone to come here and do some work. Our youth are so desperate for something better to do than smoke up and drink. I find it so sad. We used to have a youth centre (and a cinema) but both are no more and the youth are spiralling out of control, which is scary since my kids are growing up here!
Yeah, it like that everywhere isn't it. We just need Christians to get off their backsides and do the work. Thats the hard part though
